Internal Medicine is the speciality in medicine dedicated to the care of sick animals, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases found in the different organs and systems.
At Althaia Veterinary Clinic we treat our patients suffering from dermatological, digestive, hepatic, renal, urinary, endocrine, respiratory, haematic, infectious and immunological diseases. We are complemented by other services, such as laboratory services and diagnostic imaging to prepare diagnoses and treatments.
Preventive medicine is the clinical practice carried out to avoid and prevent diseases and pathologies and to promote the health of the animal.
In our clinic, we elaborate a vaccination/deworming protocol appropriate to the age and characteristics of each patient, as well as biannual and annual clinical analysis check-ups.

Surgery for the prevention of pathologies and corrective/resolving surgery.
At Althaia we routinely carry out surgeries for the prevention of diseases and/or pathologies, as well as corrective, resolutive and emergency surgeries.
We have a large, fully equipped operating theatre where we perform surgeries in conditions of maximum sterility.
Diagnostic Imaging: radiography and ultrasound.
At Althaia Veterinary Clinic we have a digital radiology service, our own ultrasound service for the diagnosis of emergency alterations.
We have an abdominal ultrasound and specialised echocardiography service, provided by VECO Veterinary Ultrasound, comprising Elena Ortega and Bruno Miralles.
